Roberts, Land Commission Inspector reported: "good arable and grass land: plot 3 acres is peaty soil." "Buildings: a middling thatched dwelling and thatched office."
Thomas Toolan of Cloonyquin, Castlerea,. in agreement dated 1st November, 1925, with Irish Land Commission agreed to purchase 7 acres 0 roods 10 perches in Rossmore West and 1 acre 2 roods 33 perches in Rossmore East for £270. (He had had £250 advanced previously for the purchase of part of the lands of Cloonyquin on the estate of Christopher French. ? Folio No. 837 Co. Roscommon.)
